COMMON SIDE EFFECTS
•Reactions at the injection site (redness, itching, pain, or swelling near the injection site)
•Upper respiratory tract infections (such as the common cold)
•Sinus infections
•Accidental injury
•Nausea
•Urinary tract infections (bladder infection)

Other common side effects include:

•Flu symptoms (such as fever or chills)
•Abdominal pain (stomach pain)
•High cholesterol
•Blood in the urine
•Back pain
•High blood pressure (hypertension)

SERIOUS SIDE EFFECTS
•Symptoms of an infection, including cough, chills, fever, or weakness
•An irregular heart rhythm (arrhythmia)
•Difficulty breathing, especially accompanied by water retention or swelling, which may be signs of congestive heart failure (CHF)
•Unexplained bruising or bleeding
•Signs of an allergic reaction, such as:
◦An unexplained rash
◦Hives
◦Itching
◦Wheezing or difficulty breathing
◦Unexplained swelling.

RARE SIDE EFFECTS
•Kidney stones
•Vomiting
•Dehydration
•Arthritis
•Menstrual problems
•Muscle cramps.
